My Webcomic

September 22, 2010

Hello everyone! I haven’t updated this blog in a long time, but I still consider myself to be a creative person. In January, 2010, I started a webcomic called Between Classes. It’s been going pretty strong. I’d like to consider it to be one of the best things that I’ve ever started. So far, I’ve made almost 80 comics. Right now I’m drawing 3 new webcomics a week. I’m also updating the site with my girlfriend’s webcomics once per week. If you like what’s on this site, maybe you’ll like my webcomic, who knows!

Check it out!

How to add your computer to a workgroup

September 3, 2008

In this tutorial you will be shown how to add your computer to a workgroup in Windows XP. The menu system is slightly different in Windows Vista, but the principle is basically the same. The menus should only be slightly different.

The first step is to right click My Computer and go to Properties

Next click on Computer Name and then click on Change

This should bring up a window with the computer name and the workgroup. All you have to do is change the workgroup name. Note: You will have to restart after doing this.

And that’s it! You’re done!

Halo 3 Beta & Channel 10

March 29, 2007

I’m pretty annoyed…Channel 10 told us about two major announcements coming.

The first was about the Xbox360 Elite…and the second was strongly rumored (Look at #6 on the list of things to do while XboxLive is down…the THIRD bullet point has the number 117 in it) to have something to do with Halo 3.

The second turned out to have to do with mobile phones. Not about a mobile phone specifically, or about an OS for mobile phones. Not about Live Anywhere on mobile phones, which if you stretched enough you could kind of see as deserving of being paired with the official announcement of the Xbox360 Elite. No. The “announcement” (if you can even call it that at all) was of a damn mobile phone web browser.

Wow…way to overhype and underdeliver – I for one am pissed. When I first saw the post, I refreshed the page again, looking for the real announcement. It wasn’t about being in denial, it was that I didn’t even understand what it was that I had seen.

It was like this:

“Hey, the announcement post is live! It’s a new mobile phone web browser!”

“Hahahaha. Nice…no really, when is the announcement going to be posted?”

EDIT: Apparently I was not alone in this respect [1]

Way to go Channel 10…I hadn’t heard of you before, but now I promise that I’ll never forget you.

Sony To Pay 150.3 Million in Patent Case Over PlayStation Controller

March 3, 2007

The suit stemmed from Sony’s use of Immersion software that causes the PlayStation controller to vibrate in sync with the videogame action. The so-called haptic technology was used in the PlayStation and PlayStation 2 models. Sony has not said whether the technology would now be used in PlayStation 3, which was released in the United States in Nov

Video: Fix My NES

March 1, 2007

This is quite an amazing video – it reminds me a lot of Requiem for a Dream towards the end!

No ELR this week!

February 28, 2007

This kills me…

UPDATE: Show scheduled for Thursday!

Got home from work yesterday, and found my DSL not working at all. (First time in a long long time.) I had no way to record ELR last night, had to email Brian and O from dial up, etc etc. Not fun. No internet is like being naked and blindfolded in a public park.

360 VGA Resolutions

December 16, 2006

For those of you who haven’t figured this out yet, there’s a $40 VGA adapter (post on that soon) which displays any of the following resolutions:

640 x 480 – 307,200 pixels
848 x 480 – 407,040 pixels
1024 x 768 – 786,432 pixels
1280 x 720 – 921,600 pixels
1280 x 768 – 983,040 pixels
1280 x 1024 – 1,310,720 pixels
1360 x 768 – 1,044,480 pixels
1920 x 1080 – 2,073,600 pixels

1920×1080 is what I’m running at on my 17″ DELL CRT, and it’s the same as 1080p

Big Post Soon

November 28, 2006

Too busy…I’m going to New York on a field trip tomorrow.  I bought Gears of War, the collectors edition.  I bought the XboxLive Vision camera.  I had some thoughts about 1080p on the Xbox360.  I figured out a way to take photos that look very professional.  Windows decided to reset every possible customizable cosmetic setting.  I played the Wii.  Big post coming…this is going to be huge.

Play Now

November 26, 2006

I have to give Microsoft props…after all of the issues I’ve been having with this download of Wrath of Khan off of the XboxLive Video Marketplace, it’s passed 50% done (it’s actually at 58% as I type this, for the record) and when it did, Play Now (a menu option that was, until now, greyed out) appeared, along with a message saying This video will continue to download while you watch.

For all of the problems, you have to give them credit for doing one thing – trying.
